Right of Withdrawal & Returns

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within thirty days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is thirty days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us by means of a clear declaration:

An e-mail stating your order number is sufficient. To meet the withdrawal deadline it is enough to send the notification before the period expires.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day we receive your notice. We use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; no fees are charged for the refund. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or until you have supplied proof that you have sent them, whichever is earlier.

Returning the goods

Return the goods to us without undue delay and in any case within fourteen days of notifying us of the withdrawal. You bear the direct cost of returning the goods. For bulky furniture please contact us first — we will agree the most economical method with you before you arrange transport. Please keep the original packaging until you are certain you are keeping the item.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Exclusions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised. Items that have already been assembled, fixed to a wall or installed can no longer be returned in a resaleable condition — please inspect the delivery and check the dimensions before assembly begins.

Warranty for defects

Independently of the right of withdrawal, statutory warranty rights apply for 24 months from delivery (§ 438 BGB). Natural variation in wood grain, stone veining, leather and textiles is a property of the material and not a defect.

10-year Westwing Collection guarantee

In addition to the statutory rights above, every Westwing Collection piece sold here carries a voluntary 10-year guarantee from Westwing Collection against manufacturing and material defects under normal domestic use. The guarantee is granted on top of your statutory rights and does not limit them. It covers frames, solid-wood and metal structures and load-bearing parts; it does not cover normal wear of covers and surfaces, damage from misuse or improper assembly, or the natural variation of wood, stone, leather and textiles.
